Sanitary Level Gauge

The sanitary level gauge offers a 360-degree view of the process fluid for liquid level verification, and process validation. Unique end fittings with integral 90 degree elbows, reduces process dead space, increases tank visual verification area, and eliminates the leak paths associated with secondary fittings.

Wetted surfaces are Type 316L Stainless Steel with an internal finish of 20 Ra/180 grit, borosilicate glass inner sight tube and gaskets per your specifications. The gaskets chosen will determine the temperature and pressure ratings of the unit and can be as high as 150psig.

The sight tube is manufactured from heavy wall borosilicate glass tubing, then tooled to a precision sanitary end configuration, similar to .75″ stainless steel sanitary fittings. The inner wetted borosilicate glass sight tube is then protected with an impact resistant full polycarbonate shield, which is held in place with delrin shield guides. Vessel connections vary with application, however .75″ sanitary tri-clamp ends are standard and center to center lengths are per your specification.

Pressure ratings are up to 150 psig – full vacuum, temperature ratings are up to 350 F. Others specifications are available, please consult the factory. Options for the Sanitary Level level gauge include materials of constructions, SS, Alloys and plastic, connection configurations, lengths, shielding and gaskets.

Liquid level indicators & level gauges

We manufactures Tank Level Indicators and Tank Level Gauges for many liquid level sensing and measurement applications. We offer precision electronic level sensors as well as mechanical indicators for applications that do not have power available. Our mechanical Liquid level tape measure (LLTM series) provides a full to empty tank reading in inches via a tape measure.

The Level keeper indicator (LKI series) is a multi point system which displays full to empty readings via bright LED lights. We also have a Continuous Level Monitor (CLM series) which is designed for accurate continuous level indication with accurate readings every 1/4″ of level movement. The Ultrasonic Distance sensors are the most accurate and can be used in tanks up to 30 feet deep.

These multi point tank level indicators are a great choice for storage tanks and totes. They provide bright, easy to read, full to empty LED tank level gauge indication. These versatile float level indicators are available in all stainless steel, stainless & buna, and polypropylene. Additional output relays can be added for high and low alarms or pump control.

These vertical float type continuous level sensors are used in tanks and vessels that require precise liquid tank level gauge indication. They are offered in all stainless steel, stainless & Buna, or polypropylene. The sensor is a 3 wire potentiometer that provides a change in resistance every ¼” of level movement. Use a digital panel meter to display the exact liquid tank level gauge reading or signal conditioner which provides a standard 4-20mA output signal.

These non contact ultrasonic distance sensors provide highly accurate level indication and can measure lengths up to 30 feet. They are great for tank farms and large outdoor storage tanks. They can be used to detect liquids or solids and come with various output options.

What Is the Servo Gauge

The Enraf servo gauge 854 ATG/XTG is equipped with a patented Servo Auto Test feature that increases its safety integrity as well as diagnostic coverage, allowing it to be used in overfill protection loops to prevent spillage. It has a Safe Failure Fraction (SFF) of more than 90% which allows it to be used in SIL-2 safety loops. If used in a redundant configuration, the servo gauge can also be used in SIL-3 rated loops.

With these diagnostics, the safety proof-test interval can be extended to 5 years, significantly bringing down the operational cost compared to other solutions that require a proof test to be carried out every year. We would like to help you know how to read your tank gauge and how much fuel is in your tank based on where the tank gauge for LPG LNG is.

There are several different types of tank gauge for LPG LNG that are install in tanks, one of the most popular and difficult is a bobber type tank gauge for LPG LNG. This a long glass tube with lines for full, ¾, ½, ¼, and measurements in between. Inside the tube is a bobber that represents where how much oil is in the tank, similar to the image above. Many of customers will call and state that the tank is empty when the bottom of the bobber hits E. The bobber is meant to be read from the top down. So if the top of the bobber is at ¼ you have enough oil for several days in the winter, but should schedule a delivery or a delivery will be on it’s way. Other tank gauge for LPG LNG include dials and old time outside thermometer styles which can be easier to read off.

Now, what does a ¼ tank mean? Using the image below you’ll know how much fuel is in your tank at any given moment. Now, these numbers are based on a standard 275 oil tank. When the tank is full will only have about 255 gallons in it instead of a full 275. This is because of air inside the tank that prevents it from being maxed out. When a driver makes a delivery they listen for a whistle that comes from the vent pipe (one of the two pipes that run out of your tank). This whistle means that the tank is full.

A liquid level gauge, also known as a level indicator or sight glass, is a meter that is used to determine liquid level in a process tank, vessel or drum. A level gauge is simply a glass tube that gives a visual representation of the level of liquid that is in the vessel.

While simple in their design, they are a very effective technology for a direct visual indication of process fluid level. There are many applications across the industry that require the monitoring of the liquid level and there are many different types of level indicators to fulfill these varying needs.

In many situations the fluid is dangerous or the place in which the liquid is stored is of such a nature that it is manually impossible to find the level, making some sort of level indicator imperative.

Magnetic Level Gauge Working Principle Animation

Inside the indicator tube is a lightweight magnetized indicator or series of metallic flags. The indicator is magnetically coupled to the float and moves up and down with the liquid level. The indicator allows the operator to read the level from more than 100 feet away. The only moving parts are the float and the indicator.

Theory :

Magnetic level gauges work on the principle of communicating vessels, therefore the level in the measuring chamber will be the same as the level in the vessel. The measuring chamber is fitted with a float, which has a magnet inside. The float with magnet will float on the medium and the magnet in the float will turn the flaps of the indicating rail.

The float in the measuring tube is standard not pressurized and has no magnetic or mechanical guidance. This construction makes the float less dangerous than a float which is standard pressurized. When necessary Hadro can produce a pressurized float.

With the below mentioned process conditions it is possible to select a float which will float on the medium.

Each flap in the indicating rail is fitted with a permanent magnet which makes this level gauge unaffected by shocks, vibrations and high temperatures. Also moisture and / or an aggressive environment are no problem for this level gauge.

This magnetic level gauge is available with plastic or stainless steel flaps. The flaps can be placed in a plastic, aluminium or stainless steel housing.

Because of the construction of the flaps, one side white and on the other red / orange it is possible to see the level over a greater distance or in darker places.

With the available “Pointers” it is possible to set the visual limits on the indicating rail on every level you require.

When the magnetic level gauge is fitted with magnetic switches it is possible to get a signal. With more switches you can make a pump control (pump on / off) and / or create a high / low alarm. Beside or instead of level switches a reedchain transmitter can be mounted, this reedchain has an standard output signal of 4-20 mA.

Magnetic level gauge are also suitable for interface reading. The float will sink into the medium with the lower density and will float on the medium with the higher density.
